C. S. Lewis

The author of the book we've been reading (The Lion the Witch and the Wardrobe) is C.S Lewis. What I'd like you to do is write a page report on him. Focus mainly on the book's he's written and why/how be became such a successful author.

April Fools Day

Since April 1st we celebrate April Fools Day I'd like you to read up on the history of the Holiday and why we celebrate it. Come up with at least two facts and write about it and if you've ever pulled an April Fools prank on anyone. Make sure it's school appropriate! If you'd like we can share them in class!

Spring Break

Hello class! Since we're just getting back from Spring Break I'd like to know what you did. Over break I worked at my other job, held Cheerleading tryouts where I coach, observed in another school, and spent time with family and friends. I was pretty overwhelmed! What all did you do?!

Bubbl.us Assignment

For the book we've been reading in class (The Lion the Witch and the Wardrobe) I would like you to create a chart on bubbl.us on the different characters of the book thus far. Make sure you put their name, their importance in the book, and if they're an antagonist or protagonist.

What's your favorite Book?

Hello there everyone!
For a journal this week I'd like to know what your favorite book or series of books is! Tell me what it is, a brief description of it, and why it's your favorite. I'm expecting to hear about a lot of good books so I can add them to my collection :)
My favorite series is the Twilight and Harry Potter series.

Here is a website you can go to that shows you how to create different types of poems. Be creative and I expect you to choose 3 different ones from the list provided. Have fun!

Different Decade Assignment

Hello Class! For history I was thinking that for next week we'd cover a little bit of popular culture from different decades! The decades we will be discussing are the: 1950's, 1960's, 1970's, 1980's, and the 1990's. What we will do is next Friday we will be having a "Pop culture day" celebrating phenomenons from the decades. This includes music, style of clothing, hair styles, but also what major historical events were taking place at that time. What I'd like you to do is choose one of these time frames, research what was going on culturally, and historically and share your findings with the class. I would like you to come up with at least FIVE different facts. Also, if you dress like you're from the era then I will award you 5 bonus points! This is a lot of fun and I would love to see all of you dressed in a different decade.
